I am an author but I am not able to attend. What do I do?

Authors may still present virtually.  We understand that there are many factors that make it impossible still to attend in person. You must, however, register at the corresponding AUTHOR rate (Member, Non-Member, Student Member or Student Non-Member). There is a separate question in registration that asks if you will attend in person or virtually. This applies to papers accepted into the main conference or associated workshops

I plan on trying to attend in person, what do I need to know?

Please make your hotel reservation as soon as possible if you believe you will travel to Hawaii for WACV 2022.  Only a limited number of rooms have been reserved. The surrounding hotels are nearly sold out or their room rates far exceed the rate we have for WACV 2022.  It is important to stay within the WACV 2022 block so that the conference isn’t hit with attrition charges. If you have any difficulty, please reach out to Liz directly. (lizATctoceventsDOTcom)

As well, check here for updates on travel restrictions and the safety precautions in place for the event.

I registered but am no longer able to attend in person.

We can either switch your registration type (if you are not an author) or you may substitute someone for your registration.  To switch the registration type, reach out to Nicole (nicoleATctoceventsDOTcom).  You are able to log into your registration to make changes to substitute another attendee by changing your contact details (name, affiliation, email, etc). Please remember that cancellations cannot be granted after December 26th, 11:59 PM PST.

Will WACV set up a room sharing site.

Yes, we have started a spreadsheet for people interested in sharing a room or a ride. We take no responsibility in these arrangements and only offer the ability to connect with others to coordinate directly

Does registration include food?

WACV will provide dinner each night of the main conference (W, TH, F) You MUST RSVP for dinner or you will not be able to attend.  You can do this by logging into your registration.

Dinner will be hosted outside and will not have assigned seating. You must wear a mask unless you are actively eating/drinking and at all times when you are not at the table.

Dinner buffets will have offerings that cover all dietary restrictions. Kosher meals are available but must be reserved by December 22.  Please alert Nicole if you have a very specific food issue (apart from Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten, Peanut, Shellfish)

You can bring a guest only if you purchase a ticket for your guest. This is also available through the registration site.

Coffee, water and soft drinks will be available at the breaks during the conference and this is for registered attendees only. Please do not bring guests to the sessions or breaks.

Refreshments will be served during the EXPO hours on Thursday 1PM – 7PM HST.
